We have a new license with one of my all-time favorite companies, Bethany Lowe, and I am very excited to show you what’s coming out in the spring! These things were just shown at the gift show in Atlanta, but we wanted to make sure that all you store owners who were not able to make that show are able to see what is available.

As a matter of fact, we’re starting a new newsletter for independent store owners so that they will be able to see all the new products that we are offering, because we really want to get back into the independent market and support those smaller stores that are hanging in there during these tough times. Sometimes some of the things we produce are only available in certain stores or call for minimum orders that are way too high for smaller stores to handle. We hope to figure out a way to eliminate this problem very soon. If you are a small store owner and would like to receive this newsletter, please visit our website at http://maryengelbreit.insiteadvice.org/contact-me/newsletter/ and signup as a retailer, or send your email address and store information to contactus@maryengelbreit.com and we will add you to our list. And those of you who just love to shop, be sure to let your favorite stores know about this!

Hopefully, our own line of products will be available soon as well— all will be revealed in the magical newsletter, so be sure you’re on the list!

Sometimes it’s hard to merge two distinct lines, as with Bethany Lowe and ME. Bethany’s customers are into Folk art with a capital F and my customers are into ME with a capital ME. We think we’ve done a great job of combining my art with Bethany’s vintage look– we’d both LOVE to know what you think in the comments section below.

PS: Wait until you see the Halloween and Christmas lines for 2011 from Bethany! But enough of this teasing about 2011– next blog: I’ll show you what’s coming out this Christmas!
~Mary

LOVE IT ALL!
Dear Mary,
I hope you remember me, Hairdresser from Clayton
these new looks are so great!
friends of mine Jenny Bluestein and her son Zak were having lunch this week (WE ARE BOTH TRYING TO DECIDE WHAT WE WANT TO DO NEXT) and we talked about you, we would love to help you to do something like PartyLite home sales we know we had two of the best sales minds around What do you think? Or maybe you would just like to have lunch with two of your .greatest fans
These figurines are precious. Love the colors and details. Great direction to be heading in. Would love to see more figurines done for the holidays — pumpkins, pilgrims, santas, etc.
As a former shop owner and customer of Bethany Lowe I know that this is quite a departure from the normal characters she carries. As an avid devoted ME subscriber for EVERY issue which I kept till the last issue this excites me to no end!!!!
From the looks of these samples it will make a nice addition to the line–hopefully not as spendy as most Bethany products are….although they are worth it!!! Good luck!!!
Cute..Cute..Cute! That’s all!
I love Bethany Lowe, she does your work justice.
I want Humpty Dumpty, can’t wait to see the Holloween figures.
Congratulations on the new licensing with Bethany Lowe. There is a lovely light coming from this arrangement and it is shining all over the precious creatures and beings brought to life by our ME.
Personally, I would set up camp at the door of one of my local shop that was about to open their doors to Bo Peep and her sheep and Mary and her little lamb. Precious gifts for friends who have sheep! (and one of each for me)
I’ll take one of each please.
Absolutely wonderful! I like every single one of them, but especially the rabbit w/ the sleeping chick (how adorable), the cat and the fiddle and Humpty Dumpty. My birthday is the 4th of July, so I MUST have the Independence Day-themed boy and girl. Another home run, Mary!
Love! Great job! Perfect for a classroom or nursery
You have done a fantastic job again!

Love them! I have been hoping you would have statues, etc. available for us, and finally we can get them (provided I can afford them, and find them locally!) They look great, Mary!
Love the Chick-bunnies! Super cute!
I agree!
totally cute!
Love it!
Oh I love Humpty Dumpty! Mary, I remember years ago the first time I became acquainted with your beautiful creations. It was in a quaint and cute little coffee and tea gift shop in a nearby town. I couldn’t wait to stop by that shop to see the Mary Engelbreit display often. It just gave me the warmest and joyful feeling. I loved your creations then and continue to love them now.
There is a small local gift shop in my town. I will definitely tell them to check your link out.
Beautiful work!
Hi Mary. The new line is awesome! I can’t wait to purchase them. I will have to stop by the office and say hello! Miss you.
Nancy
Ohhhh… these are so wonderful! I can’t wait to buy up the nursery rhyme themed items to use for baby gifts.
I’m so excited… they can’t get here soon enough!
Thanks for sharing!
Bethany Lowe and Mary Engelbreit together – a dream come true for me! Seriously, I have admired and collected ME/Bethany Lowe products for a long time. I cannot tell you how excited I am that they are creating these adorable pieces! You made my day!
I think they are very sweet! I wish there was one of an owl, I’m in love with owls currently
I love them all, but especially the birthday pig.
I’ll have to start saving for these now! They couldn’t be more perfect!
I’m soooooooo EXCITED!!!! Every since the tease months ago about joining forces with Bethany Lowe, I been searching for the ME treasures. Now I read we have to wait until Spring!! Oh well, that give me time to save my pennies to buy it all! I am one who loves BOTH ME and Bethany Lowe’s Folk with a capital F! YIPPEE!!!!!!!! Thank You ME!!!!
Very cute. Cute in a good way. Love the vintage look.
Cute and vintage without being sappy.
These are so adorable. For me, they strike the perfect balance between the vintage look I adore and Mary’s cheery, optimistic look. I can’t wait to see more and what’s in store for Christmas.
Adorable! The faces are so gentle and whimsical.
It’s cute but I have to say ME is me…. Easter stuff would be nice, like the bolder colors.
It’s a pleasure to have you join the artist team at Bethany Lowe Designs! Let me know if you will be in Atlanta next January ~ perhaps I will finally have the chance to meet you as we sign our collectible pieces together…..
Cheers,
~ Johanna Parker
I’ll be there, Johanna— can’t wait to meet you! Sounds like it’s going to be a fun show!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE…. Would like to know which stores will be carrying these.
Ooh goodie! More stuff to add to my Mother Goose nursery collection! They are absolutely precious, Mary!
Love them!
LOVE THEM ALL!!!!!!! Can’t wait to see them in person!!
I like the children and the chicks (and Humpty) better than the other animals. I like brighter, bolder colors, or white mixed with a few thin lines of strong color…rather than the pastels. And I like the way Humpty has a human face! They are all cute, but those are the ones I would think were cute enough to purchase. My 2 cents!
adorable! can’t wait to see them and get some!!
I think they are all adorable! I usually collect bears, but with these I will collect them and give to my grandchildren one day….they are sweet and bring back a lot of memories of my own childhood…..5 Stars to you!
They are all so precious! The little girl holding the flag reminds me so much of my great niece, I’ll have to buy that for her.
Smiles,
Carol
I am totally loving Little Bo Peep! Cute line.Kit
I love the baby chicks! I have some new babies this month, and these are perfect!
I absolutely love these characters! So happy you’re headed back to the “small” sellers. I have been following you since “way back when” and you kind of lost me in the last few years — your “stuff” had more of a commercial look to it, not the “sort of handmade” look that I appreciate. Good job!
These are fabulously adorable. ME + Bethany Lowe = pure genius!
Fantastic, the marriage of vintage Folk and ME is great!
Dear Mary, I have been wondering where you are? I have not seen any new Home Companion Magazines for ages. Have they been discontinued? Regardless, I want you to know I still love the old issues and go through them often. I hope you are well and continuing to enjoy your art. You are very gifted and I hope to see more of your work up here in my corner of the world, Langley BC Canada.

Darling! Love the little boy in his jammies with the rooster on his head! Cute!
MGM
really love the vintage look! betting it’ll be a huge hit
Oh I want them all!! Or at least I want the bunnies and ducks and Bo Peep and Cat and the Fiddle..and…and…
I would imagine they are made from resin.
These are WONDERFUL! Mary, I think your style BEGS for the ‘vintage’ interpretation. PRECIOUS!
So glad to see them!
OMG!! It’s about time. I think you did an excelent job with these. Can’t wait to see them in person. A new collection for me.
Very sweet!
OMG…they are adorable! So glad to see you getting back into this type of stuff. What are they made of?
Way too cute!
