As promised, here is the scoop on some of what will be available THIS Christmas–
A lot of wonderful new things (along with the wonderful old things) from Katherine’s Collection, taken right out of the pages of my Night Before Christmas book. Here are just a few:
A few of these are BIG and of course we plan to decorate our studio with them this year. We’re also doing a tree for St. Louis Childrens’ Hospital that will be entirely decorated with everything of ours from Katherine’s. I’ll be sure and post pictures of that when it’s up.
Then there are the new paper doll craft books from Leisure Arts. There are 4 of them, with enough different projects for everybody’s skill and interest level. These aren’t available yet but the will be very soon.
And, ta-da! Boxed Christmas cards, available from yours truly at my e-store
ALSO don’t forget, for those pictures of your Christmas-perfect children and/or pets (or for any holiday), you can get our photo greeting cards at Walgreens.
Of course we have 7 new calendars and all of our “regular” stuff that will be at Michaels , Barnes and Noble, Borders, and other stores, so THAT should at least get you started shopping for this season. And I’ll have MORE cool Christmas stuff to show you next week.
~Mary

Just found your blog, Mary, and I am thrilled to read through your posts {to this point at least}. As I’m sure you always hear, I miss the magazine. I love these new offerings and now that I have a grandchild {first and a granddaughter} I’ll be looking to get those paper dolls and give them to her at the appropriate time. I love the ornaments as well ~ is there somewhere I can find out where they will be carried?
Oh everything looks adorable! I just love the paperdolls and hope I will be able to buy them online even if I live abroad.
Love from Sweden!
Hi Mary: Looking forward to everything you have on the market this year. As a reply to the gal who wished for a Nativity set: we have one made by
you in resin. The colors and costumes are so adorable but still uphold
its religious theme. It is durable enough for our two year old grandson to
play with it. He said he likes “the people” and “wants to meet them.” Me,
too!!!
Dear Mary, Thank you so much for making each Christmas a little merrier. I love the elves and the little mouse in the teacup; I think he is my favorite. Love Angie
My request? An Advent Calendar would be fabulous and I’d buy them for almost everyoneI know! Thanks for the consideration.
Hello! I just love ME! Also I love Christmas just as much! I was in Michaels the other day and picked up some of the blank christmas note cards. They are so stinking cute! Now you have inspired my whole Christmas theme! ( last years was pink riendeer (sp)) I was wondering if you make wrapping paper? If so where could I purchase some? If not do you have any tips on making it myslef! So excited to have found your website. My mom used to read my sister and I all of your books! Thank You!
Paige
Sure would love to have a Nativity set made by ME!! You always use such wonderful bright colors.
Thanks so much, Mary, for sharing all your talents with us.
I always enjoy reading your blog. I love the ballerina ornaments! My daughter is a dancer, and what is Christmas without the Nutcracker? I tried to go to Katherine’s Collection website but I believe you have to be a vendor to get in. Thank you for your beautiful ornaments, those are my favorites!
Hi Mary – I’m always so happy to find your newsletter in my inbox. “Christmas Already?”…..I’m ALWAYS ready for Christmas! LOVED the little houses. Could it be you’re starting a Christmas village line? I’ve always loved the little houses you illustrate – I just want to move right in! To actually have a version to be displayed at Christmas (and then maybe a whole village!) would be a Christmas decorating dream come true! At the risk of sounding like a whiney child who won’t take no for an answer……still missing your magazine! Especially with fall and the holidays coming. Thank goodness I have all my old issues. All the best to you Mary – looking forward to more newletters and seeing your Christmas line in stores!
Wendy
So great of you to decorate a tree for the children’s hospital. I look forward to your calendars each year and purchase one for me and my daughter. Miss the magazine!
Mary, The paper doll books look fabulous. I can’t wait for those. The card about “Snowmen coming unassembled from from heaven” is just too much. You’ve done it again.
Julie
Ooooo, you have me excited for Christmas! And I’m not even ready for Fall yet. I will have to run over to Michael’s and see what they have in. I love the new Christmas items. Very very pretty! Kit
Good gravy!!! Where do I start? Love love love the upcoming Christmas items, especially elf and ballerina ornaments. I am an everyday ME fan, but because of my grandmother, Tootsie, Christmas is my favorite time of year. The cards, ornaments, and “mouse in the teacup”, SO clever. I’ll be starting Christmas shopping early! My sister and made a Christmas tradition of shopping at the St. Louis Galleria store. Although I miss that, it’s great to get a heads up on what’s coming and shop directly from ME. You’ve always been such an inspiration and an encouragement to me personally and in my own career. Much continued success to you!!!
Oh I love all the new stuff coming up!!!
Very cute ideas and beautiful artwork as always. Where is Christ in your Christmas artwork? You could portray Christmas’s true meaning so beautifully.
Lisa, I have done lots and LOTS of religious Christmas cards, but for some reason they don’t sell anywhere near as well as the others. There are a few available as single cards— they’re just not boxed.
Mary Engelbreit, I apologize. I just must have never come across any of your religious cards. I love your work and have many cards, calendars, papers..etc. I will search your website again or do you have suggestions where I would find them? Thank you so much.
Click on boxed Christmas cards on the homepage of this newsletter – you will find “I Bring You Glad Tidings” Mary designed beautiful manger scene boxed cards, which I purchased last year. Just keep looking. There are also subtly religious cards always available.
Christmas already? Yep! I’d be happy to have cooler weather down here so I’m ready for Christmas to arrive! (Down here is Louisiana – it was way too hot this year!) Love the Christmas goodies, Mary! Especially your cards. I framed a number of them years and years ago – before finding out that many of your card designs were also available as prints and plaques. I even own a signed poster that was offered by Neiman-Marcus or I.Magnin years ago in a catalogue (“A book is a gift you can open again and again”). But my favorite poster is the “hayseed gal” in “We don’t care how they do it in New York”. Oh, brother, do I ever love that one! It’s up on the wall next to my home office’s desk! Love your attitude, girl! R.

Obviously you are having trouble with some “spammy” comments! But we won’t let them spoil our fun.
The Christmas things are soooooo great! Those little elfin-fairies with the cupcakes are precious….keep up the good work!
We are experiencing a MAJOR spam attack, but we’re working hard to fix it. Very annoying, but please don’t let it stop you all from joining in the conversation!
Hi Mary – Love the little houses – I hope they’re cardboard, too. Looks like they jumped right off of one of your cards. Still missing your magazine ;( Nancy
Such cute stuff coming out! I LOVE the houses…tell me, they look like they may be made out of cardboard, I would love that! One question/concern- I understand wanting to get to the small retailers, if you could at least provide info on your site who is carrying the items. I’m happy to support small stores, but I also can’t run all over town trying to find who’s carrying what. Thanks so much!
