It’s been 3 years since we stopped publication of the Home Companion magazine and not a day goes by– LITERALLY NOT A DAY GOES BY– that we don’t get 6, 7 or sometimes even 20 letters and emails asking that we publish it again. So we’re going to give it another shot, but we need your help. It’s still a very risky business to put a magazine out in these tough economic times, so to convince a publisher and advertisers that this would indeed be a worthy endeavor, we need you to write in and tell us why you’d like to subscribe to the magazine again. A petition, if you will. Because if we can show that a gajillion people want the Home Companion, need the Home Companion, will BUY the Home Companion– we will have a better chance of success.
So tell us what the magazine meant to you, or if you’re short on time, just write in and say “Count me in!” The more names, the merrier! Barbara , Kathy, and I are all ready to dive back in if you are.

I do not read magazines as a rule but this one I read from cover to cover. When they replaced my subscription with Martha Stewart I cancelled ASAP since NOTHING could ever replace ME. I have saved all my old copies of Home Companion and take them out when I am looking for something special ie: holidays, birthdays or an event.
I have every single issue that was published and many, many projects completed from the the magazine. Please, please, please bring it back. I’ll subscribe, and I’ll buy gift subscriptions for all my friends. I’ll even buy more than one subscription if I need to. Just please bring it back!

Home Companion was one of a kind – the only magazine that truly showcased and celebrated artistic originality in the home. I loved the artist workshop sections with all the great tips about the business side of art. My heart is doing a little dance….YAY!!! Can’t wait for the first issue!

I bought every issue of this magazine, whether on the newstand in the beginning or later by subscription. I miss it! I always looked forward to getting it in my mailbox. My request is that you return to covers with Mary’s artwork instead of photographs. Even if rnot original artwork, just use one of her previous drawings. And, the paperdolls are a must! Thank you:)
