Wife speaking now--my husband enjoys his own sense of humor, but before you judge him too harshly, he did figure out that "paper" is what is recommended for the first anniversary and since he knows how much I love Mary and her work he thought of her. He managed to find a sweet saying with Mary's artwork about marriage which he arranged to be sent to the Blue Ridge mountain cottage where we stayed for our first anniversary weekend. The box with the artwork inside was waiting for me in our cottage when we got there next to the champagne and flowers. Such a sweet surprise. I was overwhelmed. Can't wait to see how it looks once we get it framed! Thanks to Mary's staff who worked with my husband (bet that was fun for them 🤣) to work out my surprise in the mountains. It will be treasured."
