Love the shirt but it's very thin

I've ordered long sleeve t's before and they were a thick cotton. This one is so thin you can almost see through it, possibly because it's white but it makes me uncomfortable wearing something people can see through. For example, the tagless printing behind the neck shows right through the outside of the back as well. I was expecting a better quality cotton product, something with more substance. The shirt is very soft but I may end up wearing it to bed instead of out in public, which is sad because the message is one I am passionate about.
